Guide
Mortis guide!!1!!!!1!1(BASED OPINIONS INCOMING!!!1!!)General main attacking (optional)
Wth main attack and super, always make sure to hit at least 2 enemies with your attack if you wanna get hypercharge fast. Same concept with hypercharge, hit 2 enemies at a time with your hyper-super to chain supers. An overlooked tip is shooting your bats through walls. I'm not an insanely pro Mortis main myself, however I do often see Mortises that just don't know/remember that the bats can fly through walls. I have no clue why people leave cover to use their supers for healing etc when you can just shoot through the wall. Especially useful with hyper.ok let's talk about gadgets!!!!
Combo Spinner is very lacking in comparison to Survival shovel. Some may argue that Combo spinner is better as it's almost like a reserve 4th ammo for Mortis to Kill confirm, however, SS allows for more shots to be reloaded, allowing for more damage in comparison to Combo Spinner. I recommend going in with one long-dash shot to get closer to an enemy or deal a bit of damage, and then pop the gadget +spam.Gear 1 - damage
I've had people tell me that they'd prefer sheild or +1 gadget charge. Shield is okay, if you really prefer shield over damage for Mortis thne go for it. Mortis being a melee brawler means that he will probably be damaged a lot, easily getting below 50% of his health in a matter of milliseconds. Without damage gear, a total of 3 shots (p11) will total to 6 thousand, but with the gear and below 50% health all 3 shots deal 6900 damage, enough to kill many brawlers. Combine this with a well timed super and Survival Shovel, you've got a very deadly weapon. Gadget charge is regularly picked as Mortis's Survival Shovel is a big part of his build, however substituting this one gadget charge over 2300 damage per shot when below 50% hp is not the best idea. You can use shield from time to time, but still damage is better. SP- Coiled snake
Everyone and their mother says that Creepy Harvest is much superior than Coiled Snake. From fristhand experience, it really isn't. Creepy Harvest is purely defensive, restoring 20% of your base hp upon every kill, while Coiled snake can be used both to sneak up on enemies, and also defensively retreat if necessary. Have you SEEN the Kd's of most Mortis Randoms (Im kinda guilty of this)??? Most people will only kil 4-5 enemies a match, and argue that Mortis finds it difficult to retreat and heal. THATS WHAT COILED SNAKE AND HIS SUPER IS FOR!!!!!!Gear 2- Bat storm (mythic)
This was actually a pretty bad gear a little before Mortis's hyper. If you really want to maximize both damage AND healing with your super, this is the gear for you. This gear is pretty OP paired with hyper, allowing for you to hit enemies with less risk of missing your second shot, when the bats boomerang back to you. Albeit this may not be worth 2000 coins in the eyes of most people, but were going for the BEST build, folks, not the most cost-efficient. pls dont bash me if you disagree. this is just my opinion on the build i have for mortis, and if you disagree you can scroll off to a different post.
